Scholarship/Financial Aid
International Home Education Scholarship/Financial Aid Program offers assistance to families based upon their financial need and the availability of funds. Scholarship/Financial Aid is only available for the Full Homeschool Program. There are no merit-based scholarships at IHE. All awards offered are based on the financial/demonstrated need of the family. Accordingly, no student should be deterred from applying to IHE due to their family not being able to afford the full tuition. All application materials are held in the strictest confidence as to protect the privacy of our students and families.
Philosophy & Objective
Scholarship/Financial Aid at IHE has a two-fold purpose: (1) to provide deserving students the opportunity of a high-quality education which otherwise might not be available to them; and, (2) to provide the homeschool program with a well-qualified student body reflecting a broad social and economic mix. To achieve these goals it is essential that the ability to pay the full tuition is not the deciding factor in determining whether or not a promising young student may attend the program or not. Scholarship/Financial Aid decisions are made independently from admission decisions and in no way affect a candidate’s chances for admission.
Scholarship/Financial Aid Determination
IHE uses the application process to collect basic financial information on income, assets, family size and the number of siblings attending tuition-based schools. A need analysis report is prepared determines the amount the family can contribute for educational costs. Since not all families' financial circumstances are equal, IHE Scholarship/Financial Aid Office uses the application as the starting point for its review of each applicant's request for financial aid.
Families must reapply for aid each year. The amount the family can reasonably contribute toward the cost of an IHE education is reviewed annually. The family's contribution may increase, decrease, or remain the same depending on your financial circumstances each year.
