Homeschooling can be tough, especially when you are just starting out. International Home Education started January 2018. The Director and Founder of International Home Education/IHE, Clary Torres, homeschooled her son during his Middle and High school years. Her son’s transformation inspired her to become an advocate for homeschooling. It created a desire within her to be that resource to help other parents see the success and academic achievement of their own children. Before the pandemic happened, we had students come in person just three days a week, from 8:30 AM through 12 PM. It was GREAT, the kids enjoyed it. We did group work together, socialized and just had a blast together in person. Our live customized in-home learning programs & small student/teacher ratios enabled the students to learn at their own pace while providing a positive, safe environment without the distractions & challenges of a traditional classroom setting.
But, it all came to an end. In March just after Spring break happened, we had to close due to COVID-19. It was hard for all of us. But, now we are live on-line, and are more flexible. The students still see each other, through Zoom. And we get students now from other cities and different states.
